Sudden Death Of German White, 71

German White, 71, 921 N avenue, resident Nevada for the past 13 years, and a former resident of Collins, died suddenly of a heart attack Friday afternoon while preparing to work upon the lawn at the McNichols home, 1138 Eighth street.

Mrs. Robert Karges, driving north on Eighth street, saw Mr. White sway and fall to the parking and stopped her car and was at his side in a moment. Others came quickly, Dr. John Conner was called but he was dead upon his arrival. The cause of death was given as a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p. m. from the Dixon Funeral home. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Dixon Funeral home until the time of service.

Mr. White is survived by four sons, Cecil of Bondurant, Ia., Marvin of Nevada, German, Jr., of Nevada and Cenas, with the U. S. Marine Corps; three daughters, Mildred, (Mrs. John Armor of Laurel, Mont.), Jodene, (Mrs. Ed Greene) and Jean Marie both of Des Moines. Thirteen grandchildren mourn the death of Mr. White.

He was preceded in death by one son, Burt Edward, in 1935.
