Funeral Services for Collins Child

Special to the Journal.
Collins, May 11--Funeral services for Bert Edward, 19-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. German White of Collins were held Thursday afternoon at the Church of Christ with the Rev. Hockersmith of Colfax in charge. Comforting songs were sung by a group of high school girls, Alta Tiffany, Coleen Carver, Alta Vasey, Wanda Satterlee, and Evelyn Jay with Mrs. Fred Mead as accompanist. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery east of town.

Bert Edward was born Sept. 8, 1944 and passed away in the University hospital at Iowa City, Monday evening at May 6. The little one is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. White, two sisters Mildred and Jo Deen and four brothers Cenas, Marvin, Cecil and Junior.
