GRACE ELIZABETH ROBINSON

Services for Grace Elizabeth Robinson, 86, of Des Moines formerly of the Collins area, were held Tuesday, March 13, at the United Methodist Church in Collins, with the Rev. Nancy Schultz officiating. Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.

Grace Elizabeth Sneddon was born on Dec. 10, 1897, to Carrie (Chew) and David Sneddon in Milwaukee, Wisc. They moved from there to Whitehall, Mich., and then to What Cheer, before settling in Colfax, where she graduated from high school in 1916. She taught school for four years in the surrounding communities.

She was married to Earl J. Robinson Dec. 25, 1920, in Colfax. They moved to a farm near Collins where they lived until 1967, when they retired and moved to Seal Beach, Calif.

In 1960, they moved to Des Moines. Grace Robinson was a member of the United Methodist Church in Collins and for many years was the church's organist.

Survivors include her husband, Earl; and several nieces and nephews.
