Collins Woman Dead; Funeral On Tuesday at Methodist Church

Special to the Journal.
Collins, April 29--Miss Ann Jeanette Swart, 73, died at her home south of Collins Sunday evening at 10:00. The funeral services will be at the Methodist church here on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, with the local pastor, Rev. Hohanshelt in charge. Burial will be in the Collins cemetery.

The deceased was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Swart and was born at Earlville, Illinois, July 17, 1861.

The family came to Iowa when she was a small girl, locating first in Cedar county. They came to Story county about 40 years ago and settled on a farm near Collins and this has been her home since that time.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. Those surviving are Mrs. Hattie McClure of Maxwell, Mrs. Edna Wilson [should be Wilkinson] of south of Collins and Maude, John and George at home. Wayne Sargeant, raised in the home since a child, is also considered a member of the family.
