Mrs. Lulu M. John, 71, a former resident of Maxwell, died in a rest home in Los Angeles, Calif. on Thursday morning.

The body will arrive in Maxwell Sunday night and funeral will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Cooper Funeral Home, Rev. J. E. McClellan in charge. Interment will be in the Maxwell cemetery.

She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Ida Hagens and Mrs. Leota Ray, both of Des Moines and Mrs. Clara Gardner of Perry, and one brother, E. E. Myers of Cheyenne, Wyo.

She had lived in Los Angeles for the past 23 years. Her husband [William T. John] preceded her in death in 1935.
