Funeral Services for Henry Granger

Special to the Journal.
Collins, Nov. 24--Funeral services for the later Henry W. Granger, 65, who died at his home northwest of Collins, were held at the Collins Church of Christ with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill of Nevada in charge. Music was furnished by a double quartet composed of Mrs. L. M. Hall, Mrs. G. C. Fish, Mrs. Geo. Holmes, Miss Zola Gilley, J. G. Gingles, Chas. Cooper, J. R. Witmer and Thomas Huntrod, with Mrs. Hugh Fertig at the piano. Pall bearers were Chas. and Lou Waltz, Frank and Wm. Thornton, E. G. Schoonover and A. J. Gearhart.

Interment was in Evergreen cemetery at Collins. Mr. Granger was born at Sycamore, Ill., April 20, 1869, a son of Thomas & Mary Ann Granger, coming to Story county when Henry was but six years of age, the family settled near Colo where he grew to manhood. He was married April 2, 1891 to Minnie Thornton, who preceded him in death. March 8, 1911 he was married to Bessie Dolph, and to this union five children were born, Donald, Forrest, Velma, Ray and Lola Mae, all of whom with the mother survive. Besides his wife and children he leaves two brothers, Geo. of Colo and Harvey of Collins, other relatives and hosts of friends.
