FORMER COLO BOY WAS KILLED

LEO O'DONNELL MET TRAGIC DEATH IN CALIFORNIA RECENTLY

Leo O'Donnell, age probably 30 years, former resident of the Colo neighborhood, was accidentally killed at Auburn, Calif., on Monday, according to word reaching Colo relatives.

Particulars regarding the accident and funeral and burial of the young man have not been learned.

Leo O'Donnell is one of the sons of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin O'Donnell of the Colo neighborhood and had been located in California for a number of years.

First word in Colo was received from Mrs. Anna Dolan, an aunt, who had kept house in the O'Donnell home after the death of the wife and mother. Mrs. Dolan whose home is now in Chicago had received first word from the family in California.

Leo, the youngest of the four sons of Martin and Mary Croker-O'Donnell was probably about thirty years of age and leaves three brothers. Two of them, Harold and Clarence are in California and other Maurice lives at Fort Dodge.

The mother died about 29 years ago, while the father died probably 20 years ago.

The O'Donnell and Croker families are among the oldest in New Albany townships.

O'Donnell Funeral Monday Morning

Colo, Sept. 15--The body of Leo O'Donnell, former Colo man who met accidental death in California Tuesday is expected to arrive in Colo early Monday morning and the funeral mass will be at St. Mary's church at 9:30 that morning, followed by interment in St. James cemetery. Particulars regarding the death of O'Donnell, member of one of the oldest families in the Colo neighborhood, have not been learned.
