Funeral Services for Marie French-Cook Thursday Afternoon

Funeral services for Marie French-Cook, 24, who died in Des Moines Monday night, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Bishop Funeral parlors after which interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.

The body will be brought from Des Moines to Nevada today.

Marie French-Cook, whose body was found in a gas-filled room at the home of an uncle in Des Moines, had been in her usual health and spirits the evening before, when she retired early, according to members of the family. The cause of her rash act has not been determined.

The deceased, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Riley French of 1635 Nevada, was born near Primrose, Neb., Aug. 26, 1910.

She leaves besides her parents her little son Harold Cook, and two brothers, Floyd French of Nevada and Merle L. French of Primrose, Neb.

While she had been working in Des Moines for some time she had been in Nevada for a birthday celebration on the week end of August 26 and had been on good health and spirits at that time.
