Services For Victim Of Accident

Maxwell--Mary Helen Alder daughter of Earl and Evelyn Stebbins Alder, was born October 7, 1941, near Maxwell and passed away on Saturday evening, August 13, 1955, at the age of 13 years, 10 months and 6 days. Death followed a car accident.

Mary Helen attended the Farrar school and was n the 7th grace. She attended the Maxwell Christian church. Surviving are her parents, a sister Mae Marie and grandmother, Mrs. Vilda Alder, besides a large number of other relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, August 15th, at two o'clock in the Maxwell Christian church with Rev. Dan Ketchel officiating. Mrs. Ray Gooden sang the "Old Rugged Cross," and "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Mrs. Laura Pearson. The flowers were arranged by Mrs. Charlotte Caple and Mrs. Iona Partridge. Casket bearers were schoolmates of Mary Helen: Freddy Link, Dean Bailey, Max Norton, John Dullard, Tom Dullard and Lawrence Baldwin. Interment was in the Peoria cemetery.
