Funeral Services For Curt Campbell, 82

COLLINS -- Funeral services for the late Curt Campbell were held in the Collins Church of Christ Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Frank Sutton pastor of the local church in charge.

Mrs. Wayne Laughlin sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," and "It's No Secret." Mrs. Hugh Fertig was pianist. Mrs. Fred Renfeldt and Mrs. Ray Mullihan took care of the many beautiful flowers.

Casket bearers were: Earl Dodd, Hendy Dodd, Ray Mullihan, P. J. Wetrich, Harve Southen and Clarence Morrison. Interment was in the Collins Evergreen cemetery.

Obituary

The following is the obituary as read at the church:

Curt Campbell, son of Ira and Emily Campbell, was born near Clyde in Clear Creek township, Jasper county Iowa on December 28, 1868, and passed away November 15, 1951, at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 17 days. After several months illness which he bore with much patience.

On October 26, 1892, he was married to Celia Ethel [Tipton] Campbell who preceded him in death on March 2, 1924. To this union five children were born, two daughters who passed away in infancy, Lloyd Tipton Campbell, and Ira Leonard Campbell of Collins and Ralph William Campbell of Sioux City, Iowa.

Other survivors are two granddaughters, two grandsons one brother, Frank Campbell of Collins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

All of his life has been spent in and about Collins with the exception of five years which he spent at Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa. He has been engaged in different enterprises, agriculture being his main interest.
