Obituary

Marion Lois Templer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Chalma, was born June 25, 1931, at Jewell, Iowa. She had spent her entire life in the Jewell community.

On June 28, 1949, she was united in marriage at Gilbert to Fredric Gene Templer. Together, the young couple set up housekeeping. However, after these few short years, their plans and hopes for continued life together were frustrated for reasons beyond our human understanding. Mrs. Templer took sick on August 3rd with the dread disease polio. On August 9th she was taken to the hospital at Fort Dodge and remained there until her death. For these eight weeks, her husband was faithfully at her side, and loved ones tried to minister to her physical needs. In spite of what medical science and the hands and prayers of loved ones could do, last Sunday evening, Oct. 5, 1952, at 10:20 o'clock, she passed on to be with her maker. She had reached the age of 21 years, three months and 10 days.

Mrs. Templer was a member of Grace Evangelical United Brethren church in Story City. She is survived by her husband Fredric Templer, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Chalma, two sisters, Mrs. Shirley Tesdall and Mrs. Doris Brick [should be Brock]; her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Dawson; other relatives and a host of friends.

May these mourning hearts find strength and refuge in God, and may this bitter experience tend to draw them closer to the heart of God. Jesus said, "Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
