THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, July 1, 1920, page 1, column 2. "KENNETH IRVING SWARM. - Kenneth Irving Swarm, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Swarm, of Des Moines, was born August 19, 1903, and died by downing Sunday morning, June 27, 1920, aged sixteen years, ten months and eight days. Kenneth was a happy boy, who was well beloved by all who knew him. He was an attendant of the Sunday school of the First Baptist church of Des Moines, and was an active member of the B. Y. P. U. His little sister, Iowa, and brother Victor, were called away in 1910. He leaves his father and mother, four brothers, Morris, Virgil, Stanley and Jack; three sisters, Marjorie, Pauline and Hope, with a number of other relatives and a host of friends who mourn his early departure. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at the Peoria church Rev. J. C. McCain in charge. Burial was in the Peoria cemetery. A male quartet, Martin H. Troup, O. O. Holtby, Els Gibson and Rev. H. P. Young, with Mrs. W. T. John as accompanist, furnished the music."
