THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, June 29, 1916, page 1, column 2. "SUNDAY'S MOTHER DEAD - Chas. Webb received a telegram from his cousin, "Billy" Sunday, stating that his mother, Mrs. Jane Sunday-Stowell, had passed away at their home at Winona Lake, Ind. The funeral was held Wednesday of this week at the M. E. church in Ames. Rev. Thuresson officiating. Mrs. Stowell was found dead in her room on the morning of the 24th. She was seventy-five years old and had been a sufferer for a number of years."
