THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, 23 March, 1905, page 1, column 5. "Obituary - Linnie Cowgill was born near Maxwell, Iowa, October 7, ... 1905, age twenty-four years, five months and ten days. Her mother died when she was small, then she went to live with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lowe. She grew to womanhood in this community, and on October 29, 1900 was united in marriage to John Snook. Two children were born to this union, one a boy of two years, who together with the husband survive her. The other an infant daughter which died at birth and was buried in the arms of the mother. The remains were shipped to Maxwell, arriving here Tuesday and were taken to the Peoria M. P. church where the funeral was held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., being in charge of Rev. A. Q. Gharrett and interment was made in the Peoria cemetery. Mrs. Snook was a devoted christian woman, having joined the M. P. church when but fifteen years of age and has lived a consistent christian life ever since. The sorrowing husband and relatives will have the deepest sympathy of a multitude of friends in this their time of great bereavement."
