THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, July 31, 1941, page 1, column 5. "LESLIE SOLBRACK. - Leslie Wayne Solbrack, son of Ray and Lois Solbrack, was born at Maxwell, Story county, Iowa, April 22, 1919. He met death July 24, 1941, at the age of 22 years, 3 months and 2 days. He leaves to mourn, his father and mother; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ruth Sieberling, of Mitchellville; Helen and Wilma, of Urbana, Mo.; 2 brothers, James and Wilbur, of Urbana, Mo. One brother, Dale, preceded him in death, Jan. 27, 1932. He attended Farrar public school and one year of high school. He was a boy of good character, well thought of; known and loved by many friends both young and old. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Maxwell Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. P. R. Epley in charge. E. R. Bell, Dorus Meyers, H. G. Darling and Orlando Holtby sang "Going Down the Valley,' "God Will Take Care of You" and "The Rock That is Higher Than I," accompanied by Laura Pearson at the piano. Pallbearers were Ed Winslow, Robert Payne, Beryl Moreland, Ralph Rambo, Russell Link and Earl Enfield. Interment in the Peoria cemetery."
