Emil Dass dies in hospital Thurs. morning

Emil Dass, 1409 M, Nevada died Thursday at the Story County Hospital. A hospital patient the past three days, he had been in ill health for the past six years.

Mr. Dass, 85, was born September 30, 1886 in Eldora, the son of John and Augusta Dass. He was married to Cleo Roush in 1949 at Osage, Iowa.

He had lived in Nevada for 20 years and was a retired Iowa State University employee.

Survivors include his wife, Cleo, a step-son Duane Roush of Laredo, Tex.; five daughters, and a sister Mrs. Ida Scott of Osage.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister and his first wife, Emma.

Graveside funeral services will be held in Alden, Iowa Saturday morning at 10:30 with Pastor Harry Myklebust officiating.

The family will be at the Ryan Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday where friends may call.

A memorial fund has been estatblished.
