IVAN F. EMPEY

Ivan F. Empey, 58, of Cambridge died Monday afternoon of a heart attack while at home.

He was born October 2, 1915 in Bethlehem, Iowa to Albert and Blanche Empey and had been a resident of Story County for the past 9 years He was married to Nadine Elsberry July 2, 1964 in Dakota City, Nebraska and was a former Cambridge city councilman.

He was the owner of Empey Hardware and Furniture.

Services will be held from the Cambridge Methodist Church Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Williams F. Overhulser officiating. Burial will be in the Cambridge Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine; his mother, Mrs. Blanche Empey of Corydon, Iowa; three sons, Garry of Cambridge, Terry of Des Moines and Jim Everhardt of Minneapolis, Minn.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1970.

Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada from Wednesday morning until 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
