Services for area deaths

MRS. DOROTHY BONNEY

Mrs. Verne (Dorothy) Bonney, 63, of rural Maxwell, died Saturday afternoon at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames where she had been for the past 8 days. She had been ill for 2 years.

She was born March 20, 1910 to Charles and Mae Hill in Polk County and had been a resident of Story County for the past 36 years. She was married to Verne R. Bonney November 20, 1928 in Indianola, Iowa and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Maxwell.

The funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada Tuesday morning at 10:30 with Rev. James Louk officiating. Burial will be in the Graham Cemetery at Mingo.

She is survived by her husband, 4 brothers, Clark Hill of South Bend, Indiana, John of Denver, Colorado, Wendell of Winterset and Max of Martinsdale, Iowa and one sister, Mrs. Grace Weeks of New Virginia, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers.
