Services for area deaths

LAWRENCE E. OMVIG

Lawrence E. Omvig, age 58, of rural Story City died Sunday, Dec. 9 at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.

Born Dec. 28, 1914 in Story City, he was the son of Albert and Annie Omvig. He was a veteran of WWII and farmed near Story City all his life.

He is survived by one brother, Elmer of Story City. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Norman and one sister, Lillie (Mrs. Virgil Hanson.)

The funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City with Rev. C. A. Gisselquist officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.
