Obituary

Mrs. Inger Rame was born at Vosenvangen, Norway, in 1844 and died at the Old Peoples Home at Stoughton, Wisc. March 15, 1914. She went to the Old Peoples Home about a year ago that she might receive the proper care and attention during the eventide of life.

In 1868 she came to Red River, Minn. where her brothers Mons and Erick Erickson were located. Several years later she came to Iowa where she served as a domestic in the home of John Christian. Later she left for Roland, where she served in the capacity of nurse to Mrs. S. Sheldahl. After Mrs. Sheldahl's death she remained there as housekeeper until May 26, 1884, when she was married to Sjur Rame. Three children were born to them, all of whom have preceded her in death. Belle Rame of Des Moines is the only survivor of the family. Mrs. Rame was a good woman, true to the principles of Christian descipleship.

The funeral services were conducted from Bergen Church last Friday , Rev. Smedal officiated. She was buried in the Roland Cemetery besides her husband and children.
