Services for area deaths

DONALD LEIN

Donald W. Lein, 46, of 755 14th St. Place in Nevada died at his home early Thursday morning of a heart attack. He had been a resident of the city for the past year.

Born December 2, 1926 to Knute and Aletta Lein in Roland, he was serving as office manager of the Cedar Valley Construction Company. On December 27, 1972 he was married to Persis Stoneberg in Nashua, Ia. He was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church and was a veteran of World War II.

Services will be held at the Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland Saturday morning at 11:00 with Pastor Howard M. Lybeck officiating. Burial will be in the Roland Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife; parents; two sons, Craig and Douglas Lein of Des Moines; 4 step-sons, Stephen, Ted, William and Donald Stoneberg; one daughter, Mrs. Connie McCormick of El Paso, Texas; 2 grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Lein of Postville, Iowa; 2 sisters, Mrs. Marge Absher of Wasco, California and Mrs. Arlene Mangold of Fullerton, California.

Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home until Saturday morning.
