DEATHS

MARION O. PRESCOTT

Marion O. Prescott, 74, of 2505 Thirty-fifth St., died of cancer Monday at Medicenters of America, 233 University Ave., after an illness of two years.

Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beaverdale Funeral Chapel, with burial at 3 p.m. in Roland Cemetery at Roland.

Mr. Prescott, a retired radio station musician who played with several bands in this area, was born in Nevada and had lived in Des Moines 47 years. He was a life member of the Musicians Union and a member of Westminister United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Kasner of Mankato, Minn., two sisters, Mrs. Amy Gleason of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Mrs. Edna Anfinson of Nevada, two brothers, Elmer and Thomas both of Nevada, and two grandchidren.
