THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, January 2, 1908, page 1, column 3. "Death Calls Again. Mrs. Delphia Sanderson departed this life at her home in Jewel county, Kansas on December 21, 1907. She was a daughter of Daniel Lamb and Miriam his wife. The deceased was born about the year 1852 and was one of the pioneer children who came to Iowa in the 50's with her parents from Henry county, Indiana. Her death resulted from cancer and her suffering was intense, but her death was a victory for she was an earnest Christian and a member of the United Brethren church. She will be mourned by many friends as well as her loving husband, one daughter, one son and several grandchildren. For a number of years her home has been in Kansas, but the hand of sympathy is extended to the children here, Josiah Lamb and Mrs. Henry Meese. The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, what is our loss is her external gain. Mrs. Sarah Westcott, Collins, Iowa."
