Catherine Davis Dies at Hospital Here at Age of 89

Mrs. Catherine Davis, 89, 737 7th Street, Nevada, died Tuesday evening at 7:45 at the Story County Hospital in Nevada where she had been a patient for the past six days.

Mrs. Davis was born August 27, 1876 in Wright County, Iowa, the daughter of C.C. and Belle Overacher (sic) Gould. She was married to Robert A. Davis May 12, 1897 in Goldfield, Ia. and had lived in Nevada for the past 63 years.

She was a member of the Methodist Church, a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and a member of the National Society of the D.A.R.

Survivors include one son, Glen Davis of Nevada; one grandson, five great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Lotta Hawkins of St. Paul, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, and a son and daughter of infancy.

The body is at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada where services are pending.
