Mrs. Millie Baldus Springman was born Jan. 10, 1891 at Jewell, the daughter of Lewis and Ida Baldus, and died at University Hospital, Iowa City, Oct. 24, 1966.

She had been ill about a month.

She married John J. Springman April 18, 1911 at her home near Story City.

The couple operated farms near Jewell and Story City until they retired and moved into Story City.

Mr. and Mrs. Springman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1961.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, Story City.

Mrs. Springman is survived by her husband, John; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Randau, Story City; a son, Lewis, Cedar Rapids; five granddaughters; a sister, Mrs. Elva Reinsch of Gilbert; and a half-sister, Mrs. Gladys Pratt, Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Owen; a sister, Rose and a half-brother, Lowell.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 1966 from Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, Story City, with the Rev. P. H. Beckman officiating. Burial was in Center Cemetery, Story City.
