Bertha Gossman Is Dead at Age of 84, Services Wednesday

Bertha Gossman, Rt. 2, Nevada, died Monday morning at 7 at her home after suffering a coronary attack. She was 84 years old.

Born August 29, 1882, in Austria, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bruckner. She lived in Columbus, Nebr. for 74 years and had been a resident of Nevada the past 10 years.

She was married to Charles Gossman in March of 1900 at Platte Center, Nebr. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church.

Survivors include two sons, Vincent Gossman of Zearing and Louis Gossman of McCallsburg; five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Evans of Columbus, Nebr., Mrs. Clara Robertson of Nevada, Mrs. Mary Roberts of Owantonna, Minn., Mrs. Cecelia Fittje of Overland Park, Kans., 15 grandchildren, and four living sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home Wednesday at 2. Burial will be in Columbus, Nebr. Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
