Anna Wyatt Dies at The Age of 99

Mrs. Anna Kriner Wyatt, 99, Colo, died at the Story City Memorial Hospital at 2 p.m. Saturday where she had been a patient since May 7.

She was born in Warrensville, Illinois in 1867 and at the time of her death was 99 years, three months and seven days of age.

Mrs. Wyatt was a member of the Rebekah and Royal Neighbors Lodges, Colo Garden Club, Friendly Neighbor Club, and the Methodist Church in Colo where she was a charter member of the WSCS.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. C.E. (Mary) Rasmusson, Zearing; Mrs. Katherine McBride of Collins; Mrs. Roy (Bernice) Morrell of Colo; a son, William Wyatt of Algona; a brother, E.M. Kriner of Nevada; ten grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.

On September 17, 1891, she was married to Rollin Wyatt who preceded her in death in 1944. A daughter, Mrs. Vera Wilson [should be Willson] died in 1953. Two brothers also preceded her in death.

Services will be held Tuesday at the Methodist Church in Colo with Rev. Floyd Newbrough in charge. Burial will be in the Colo Cemetery. The body will be at the Brouhard Funeral Home until time for services.

A memorial fund has been established.
