DEATHS

MRS. GRACE SEVEREID

Services for Mrs. Grace Severeid were held on Thursday, March 10 at 2 p.m. in the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church with Pastor M.H. Rye in charge.

Mrs. Edward Larson sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond The Sunset" accompanied by Mrs. Jacob G. Lee, organist.

Pallbearers were Orville Elliott, William Severeid, James Severeid, Ernest Fjelland, George Rubor, Merrill Heggen. Interment was in Fjeldberg Cemetery.

Mrs. Grace E. Severeid was born on Feb. 15, 1881 at Riverside, Iowa, the daughter of J.W. and Ellen Ward. She died at the Ames Nursing Home on March 7, 1966.

On June 6, 1905 she was united in marriage to O.J. Severeid of Huxley where they continued to make their home. Mr. Severeid died on Nov. 18, 1958.

Survivors include two sons, Howard of Indianapolis, Ind., Ward of South Bend, Ind. and a daughter, Alma of Huxley.

A son Ralph preceded her in death in 1931.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Drury of Pittsburg, Kansas; Mrs. Mildred Knott of Des Moines; Mrs. Nora Heggen of Alleman; two brothers, Howard Ward of Alleman and Glenn Ward of Wilmington, Calif.

Relatives from a distance who came to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Severaid, Janet and Thomas of South Bend, Ind., Howard Severeid of Indianapolis, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Williams Severeid, Mr. and Mrs. James Severeid also of South Bend and Mrs. Myron Bodenhamer of Indianapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Sadler of Mallard; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ward, Mrs. Nora Heggen, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Heggen of Alleman; Mrs. Joseph Severeid of Boone, Marion Heggen of Ankeny, Dean Heggen, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heggen, Mrs. Lee Parmenter, Mrs. Ruth Bevins, Mrs. Lois Ridard of Des Moines.
