Jean Laffoon

Memorial services for Jean Laffoon, 50, of Ames were held at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church at Ames on Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Hutson officiating.

Mr. Laffoon was born August 19, 1922 at Sioux City. He married Jayne Hemmingson on June 22, 1946 at Huxley.

He was a professor of zoology and entomology and had been a member of the Iowa State University staff since 1946.

He died at Mary Greeley Hospital on Friday morning, January 19.

He is survived by his wife, Jayne; a son Lee of Ashville, N. C.; a brother, J. D. Laffoon, Denver, Colo.; and a sister, Mrs. Joyce Hobbs, New York City.
