Area Deaths

MERVIN E BRALAND

Mervin E. Braland of Roland died Saturday, Nov. 25 at his home of a heart attack.

He was born March 15, 1927, north of Roland. He married Nadine Cizek.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Braland of Ellsworth, his wife, one son Martin Edward of Roland, two brothers William Brland of Radcliffe and Arnold Braland of Boone, four sisters Mrs. Victor (Alice) Scales of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Lyle (Joan) Williams of Boone, Mrs. Deryl (Lois) Luther of Rockford, Ill. and Mrs. Daniel (Janet) Reuth of Ames.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Nevada. Father Franz Lohberg will officiate with burial the in Roland cemetery.

The body will lie in state in the Soderstrum Larson Funeral Home in Story City.
