Harry Edgar Bloomfield

Harry E. Bloomfield, 81, died Sunday at the North Grand Care Center in Ames. He was a lifetime Story County resident.

Bloomfield was a carpenter and sexton of the Iowa Center cemetery.

Bloomfield was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lanna Mae Moody, his parents, three brothers and a half-brother.

Survivors include his son Donald of Maxwell, daughters Mrs. Herman Beal of Nevada and Bernadine Link of Des Moines, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and his sister Mrs. Bessie Rankin of Maxwell.

Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell, with Ref. Waldon Paige officiating. Music included "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset." Pallbearers were Monroe Moody, Clarence Godby, Jack Whaley, Harlan Moody, Emerson Pinck and Jack Coughenour.
