THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, May 16, 1912, page 1, column 4. "OBITUARY. - Lydia M. Palmer was born in Story county, Iowa, February 18, 1873 and died at her home in Peoria, Friday evening, May 10, 1912, aged thirty-nine years, two months and twenty-six days. She was married June 2, 1897, to Albert Moorehead, who survives her. Besides her husband, she leaves two stepsons, Lawrence Moorehead and Charlie Goodnin; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Hervey, of Levey; Mrs. Susanna Lozier, of Des Moines; Mrs. Jennie Hicks, and one brother, Daniel Palmer, of Clarkon. Besides these, she leaves numerous other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. Mrs. Moorehead in early life was a member of the Friend's church but united with the M. P. church at Peoria about three years ago, of which she remained a faithful member till death called her. The funeral services were held Sunday, May 12th, at Peoria, conducted by Rev. C. J. Nutt, pastor, and a large concourse of neighbors and friends gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to the deceased. Interment was made in the Peoria cemetery."
