WALTER H CAVINESS

Walter H. Caviness, a resident of Story County for the past 37 years died Sunday evening at his home at the age of 86.

In failing health for the past two years, Mr. Caviness was born Dec. 22, 1885 at Mount Ayr to William and Henrietta Caviness.

A farmer, he was married on Aug. 25, 1918, to Luella Hartman at Waukee. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include his wife Luella, three sons, Wilson, Arlan and Curtis, two daughter, Mrs. Moneta Wines and Mrs. Mildred Hoffman, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
