AREA DEATHS

WILLIAM B. McDONALD

William B. McDonald of Boone died at the Mary Greeley Hospital on Tuesday. He had been hospitalized for one week.

Born Nov. 3, 1886 in Boone, his parents were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McDonald. On Nov. 20, 1906, he married Agnes Patterson at Boone.

McDonald, who was a retired farmer was 85 years old.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Margaret) Beckett of Marion; six grandchildren, including Mrs. Carroll Wengert of Colo and William Haley of State Center and 21 great grandchildren.

Preceding him were his parents, his wife Agnes who died in 1960; one son Archie; one daughter Rowena; two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Boone. Rev. Paul Beckman of Story City will officiate. Burial will be in the Linwood Park Cemetery at Boone.

Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and until service time on Friday.
