DEATHS

Mrs. Lucy Cook

Mrs. Lucy Cook, sister of Mrs. Jonas Christianson of Slater, died in Des Moines on Aug.12 after being hospitalized eight weeks. She had been a victim of rheumatoid arthritis and pernicious anemia for more than ten years.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Cook of 1524 56th St. in Des Moines; her mother, Mrs. Anna Smidt of the Lutheran Home in Madrid; her brother John Smidt of Des Moines; her sister, Mrs. Rosella Christianson of Slater, and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Cook had lived in Des Moines 48 years and was a graduate of Des Moines Commercial Business College.

Funeral services were held at the Tonini Funeral Home in Des Moines with burial at Glendale Cemetery.

In addition to Iowa friends and relatives, visitors came from California, Florida, Minnesota and Indiana to attend the services.
