JOHN L. ANDERSON

STORY CITY -- Funeral services for John L. Anderson were held Friday afternoon, Feb. 20 at 2:00 p. m. in Grace E.U.B. church in Story City. The Rev. Carryl R. Eittlow officiated.

Kenneth Peterson sang two solos. Burial was in Story City Municipal cemetery. Pallbearers were Russell Frandson, Tony Sparboe, Richard Frandson, Jesse York, Miller Gertsen and Lars Raymond.

Life Sketch

John Louis Anderson, only child of Anders J. and Sophia Anderson was born Feb. 6, 1891 and died Feb. 18, 1959 at the age of 68 years and 12 days. He had lived his entire life on the farm south of Story City where he died

His parents preceded him in death, his father on Aug. 20, 1921 and his mother, July 9, 1941.

On June 14, 1917 he was united in marriage to Florence Sowers. To this union were born two sons Arnold J. of West Fork, Ark. and Vernon A. of Fayetteville, Ark. Florence did April 10, 1922. On Dec. 20, 1924 he was united in marriage to Grace Sowers who survives him.

Besides his wife and two sons he leaves to mourn his death, five grandchildren, Larry and Frederick Anderson of West Fork, Ark. and Marita, Lyndall and Mark Anderson of Fayetteville, Ark.

He was a member of Grace E.U.B. church, Story City and the Danish Brotherhood of America fraternity.

Among relatives from a distance attending the funeral were the two sons and families from Arkansas, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Anderson, Larry and Fredrick, West Fork and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Anderson, Marita, Lyndall and Mark of Fayetteville; Mr. and Mrs. Chris L. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Albertson of Atlantic, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sowers, Albert, Mrs. Hanna R. Marsden and Kevin, all of St. James, Minn., Mrs. Lillian Har---, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Johnson, Algona, Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson, Max Ried, Carroll, Mrs. Emma Hager and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Christenson, Alden and Mrs. Donald Borthwick, ----.
