THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, May 30, 1957, page 3, column 3. "EARL C. MEYERS - The funeral of Earl C. Meyers was held at the Cooper Funeral Home Saturday, May 25, with Rev. Randall Sims in charge. Earl Meyers, son of Henry and Ella Illingsworth Meyers, was born in Des Moines, Jan. 4, 1891 and passed away at a hospital in Mt. Pleasant, May 23, 1957. Earl was graduated from law school with honors and had spent most of his life in politics, being affiliated with the Democratic party. Music was furnished by Madeline Summitt. Casket Bearers were Paul Atkinson, Raleigh Meyers, Virgil Atkinson, Keith Meyers, Kenneth Meyers and Robert Bowen. He is survived by his mother Ella Meyers."
