THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, October 9, 1941, page 1, column 4. "FORMER MAXWELL RESIDENT PASSES AWAY. - Mrs. Nettie Hull, 70, former Maxwell resident, passed away Thursday evening in a hospital in Seattle, Washington, as a result of an attack of pneumonia. Her husband, Thomas Hull, preceded her in death two years ago. The deceased is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Martha Brown, of Seattle, and son, Fred Hull, who is engaged in government work in the Panama Canal Zone. Also surviving is her aged father , C. Z. Reitz, and four sisters, Mrs. Allie Sutter and Mrs. Lizzie Enfield, of Maxwell; Mrs. Addie Lookingbill, of Nevada and Mrs. Annie Goughnour, of Ankeny, and a brother, Edward Reitz, of Missoula Montana. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Maxwell Brethren Church, with the Rev. Shenton, of Des Moines, in charge. Interment in the Maxwell cemetery."

"NETTIE REITZ HULL. - Nettie Hull, daughter of Conrad Z. and Elizabeth Reitz, was born at Ontario, Story County, Dec 28, 1870. She grew to womanhood on the homestead southwest of Ames, Iowa. She was united to Thomas Hull in marriage Dec. 30, 1889. To this union was born four children, one daughter, Martha, now Martha Brown and three sons, Fred Hull, now of Balboa, Panama, Earl and Cecil, who preceded her in death. During her married life with her husband, they made their home for fifteen years in Nome, Alaska. Since that time she has made her home in Seattle, Wash., where she passed away Thursday evening at 7:50 P. M. from a heart attack. She leaves to mourn her departure, her daughter, Martha, son, Fred, father, C. Z. Reitz, four sisters, Allie Sutter, of Maxwell; Annie Goughnour, of Ankeny; Lizzie Enfield, of Maxwell, and Addie Lookingbill, of Nevada, and one brother, Edd Reitz, of Missoula, Montana, and two grandchildren, Mona Lou and Tommy. Her mother and brother, Jessie, preceded her in death. She gave her life to Christ and united with the Brethren Church when a young girl and lived faithful until death. She was a member of the Eastern Star."
