RANDALL REINERTSON

SLATER--Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Randall M. Reinertson who died Sunday evening, July 20 following a lengthy illness.

A prayer service was held at the Riis Funeral Home at 1:30 and at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Leo O. Bjorlie was in charge. Robert Weeks sang two numbers, "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Softly and Tenderly Jesus in Calling." Mrs. Oliver Newman was the organist.

The floral tributes were cared for by Mrs. Archie Coyle and Mrs. Arnold Alleman. There were many memorial gifts to worthy organizations.

Casket bearers were Irvin Hauge, Glen Reinertson, Paul Fausch, Charles Wright, William Weeks and Alvy Torgerson. Interment was in the Bethlehem cemetery.

Life Sketch

Randall Martin Reinertson was born April 26, 1883 near Nevada, Story County, Iowa, the son of Ed and Jennie Reinertson. he was united in marriage to Sadie Weeks on November 11, 1908.

He is survived by his wife and seven children: Herbert J. of Kelley, Archie of Madrid, Irene (Mrs. Milford Ryen) of Slater, Raymond S. of Madrid, Erma (Mrs. Roy Ellis) of Fontana, Calif., Donald L. of Pella and Darrell R. of Huxley.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter in 1916.

Also surviving are 17 grandchildren: four sisters, Mrs. Ida Houge of Slater, Mrs. Henry Sandness of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Florence Hopkins of Pasadena, Calif. and Mrs. Dewey Fausch of Cedar Falls; four brothers, Louie of Kelley, Ben of Luther, Fred of Elcerrito, Calif. and Jennings of Roland.
