Rites Wednesday For P. W. Andrew
NEVADA--Funeral services for P. W. Andrew, 837 Seventh street, who died Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p. m. were held from the Nevada Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Ash officiating.
Mrs. Harry Sutherland was accompanied by Mrs. Norman Dobson when she sang "Goodnight Here, Good Morning Up There."
The many beautiful flowers were arranged by Mrs. Myrtle Albery, Mrs. C. A. Ryan and Mrs. Loretta Crouch.
The casket bearers were M. E. Hall, C. B. New, F. C. Tarman, Otto Thompson, C. B. Tichenor and Joe Van Sickle, Sr.
Burial was in the Nevada cemetery with a Masonic committal service in charge of W. E. Horine at the graveside.
Obituary
Peter Wilbur Andrew was born April 15, 1876 at Palmyra, Ind., son of Thomas and Margaret Andrew, and one of eleven children.
He was married Ida Thayer Aug. 27, 1902 at Pulaski, Iowa, and became the father of three children, Herbert W. Andrew of Nevada; Helen, Mrs. T. M. Belitz of Inglewood, Calif.; and Harold who passed away in the year of 1937.
A resident of Nevada for thirty-four years he operated a service station and tourist court until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Ida; his son, Herbert; his daughter, Helen; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Adkisson of Milton, Iowa and Mrs. Elma Smith of Pocatello, Idaho; and two brothers, S. J. Andrew of Maquoketa, Iowa and Robert Andrew of Cedar Rapids.
He is also survived by four grandchildren: Mrs. Robert Nady of Nevada, Herbert Larry and Jeanne Andrew of Nevada and Michael Belitz of Inglewood, Calif. Two great grandchildren are Zoe and Orson Nady of Nevada.
He was a member of the Nevada Methodist church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for fifty-five years.
