EVA YOUNG

ZEARING--Mrs. Eva Gertrude Young was born near Zearing on Jan. 30, 1880. She was the daughter of John m. and Lucie Spohr Golly. She grew up on the Zearing community.

In November 1899 she was united in marriage to Roy M. Davis. To this union was born one son, Floyd S. Davis, now of Burlington, Iowa. Mr. Davis died in 1939.

On March 26, 1948 she was united in marriage to W. C. Young of Zearing, where they resided until her death. Mrs. Young died March 18, at the Story County Hospital.

Survivors are her husband, Mr. Young, her son Floyd, four brothers, Guy Golly of Mora, Minn., John Golly of Zearing, E. L. Golly of Bridgewater, Iowa, Fred of Hewitt, Minn. and sister, Mrs. Leona Buffington of Marietta, Minn. Also remaining are many nieces and nephews.

Two sisters preceded her in death. They were Mrs. Elizabeth Brown and Mrs. Edna Robbison [should be Robinson.]

Mrs. Young was a member of the Zearing Christian church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Services were held March 21, 1958 in the Christian church, in Zearing with burial in the Zearing cemetery. The Rev. John Bartlett and Rev. Darold Eller were in charge of the services.

Casket bearers were Marvin Golly, Hartley Golly, Duane Golly, Warren Golly, Leonard Golly and Harry Brown. Music was furnished by Glen McBride, Dale Johnston, Eldon Crain and Paul Lundy with Mrs. Delos Dakins at the organ. Mrs. Manley Dakins and Mrs. Steve Chance cared for the flowers.
