Donald Earwicker Dead; Funeral Services on Tuesday

Donald Earwicker, 15, Nevada high school freshman, died at Iowa sanitarium after an illness that dates back to April 30, since which time he had been at the hospital.

Funeral services will be held at the Bishop Funeral home on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge. Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Donald Allen Earwicker was born September 6, 1923, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Earwicker. Death came Saturday, June 24 at the age of 15 years, 9 months and 18 days.

He leaves his parents, 5 sisters and 4 brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Monard Torgerson of Webster City, Mrs. Arnold Allie and Mrs. Carl Keeney both of Nevada, Mrs. Henry Hapes of Collins and Anna at home. The brothers are Verne of Cedar Falls and Charles, Harold and Harle at home.

The boy had lived in or near Nevada all of his life, had just finished the freshman grade in Nevada high school and had been baptized in Memorial Lutheran church.

Donald had spent some time as a carrier boy for the Evening Journal where he was found reliable and trustworthy and he had a wide circle of friends who will join the family in mourning his death.
