CHARLES PERIN

COLLINS -- Funeral services were held from Charles Perin Monday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. John L. A---------- officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Lloyd Holland and Mrs. Donald Painter who sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross with Mrs. --- ------- as organist.

Casket bearers were William Wilkening, ------ Holland, William Fitzgerald, Raymond Long, Irving ----- and Gordon H------. Burial was in the Union Chapel cemetery near Ira, Iowa. The Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada was in charge.

Life Sketch

Charles Perin was born July 29, 1868 at Baxter, Jasper County. He was the son of Glover Perin and ------ Jane Barbee Perin who were ----- - Indiana. On April 10, 1918 he was married to Olive Zimmerman and they established their home ---- -- where they ----- ------ -------. Mrs. Perin died ------ 21, 1949 at ----- ------ home ------ -- ---- ----------- --- -----.

Mr. Perin continued to made his home --------- -------- 1952. Since then --- ----- --- nursing home -- ----- in the McVey Nursing Home in Collins.

He was taken to the Story County Hospital February 26 and died February 28, at the age of 89 years and seven months. The cause of his death was a cerebral hemorrhage.

Eight brothers and sisters have preceded him in death. Surviving are his brother George of Baxter. Also a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
