MRS. RALPH MARSH
COLO--Funeral services were held February 19, 1958 for Mrs. Ralph Marsh at the First Methodist Church in Charles city, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Heath officiating and Mrs. Jane Overholser, organist.
Casket bearers were Don Flurherh, Ray Flurherh, Kendall Gayther, Frank Nehels, Elmer Guenther and Harley Schlick. Interment in the Riverside cemetery in Charles City.
Life Sketch
Edith Mae Balck [should be Black] was born, September 14, 1881 near West Brooklyn, Ill. and died in her sleep at her home in Charles City February 17, 1958.
She was married to Ralph E. Marsh of Collins December 29, 1891. To this union four sons and two daughters were born.
The Marsh family lived for some time on a farm southeast of Colo, latter moving to Collins where Mr. Marsh had a furniture store and was a mortician before moving to Charles City come years ago.
Surviving are her husband and two sons, Harold and Kenneth both of Charles City and two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Dorothy) McMains, Charles City and Mrs. Harry (Hazel) Bishop, Amboy, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by two sons, Ernest and Glenn.
Relatives attending the funeral from this community were Mrs. Harry Tripp, Nevada, Mrs. B. A. Anderson, Marshalltown, Leo Cooper and sister, Mrs. James Sager, Colo, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Marsh, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Holland and Clyde Keagle, Collins and Mrs. and Mrs. Scott Marsh, Kellogg.
