Funeral Services Held at Huxley for Tom Chelesvig

Special to the Journal:
Huxley, March 6 -- Funeral services for Tom Chelesvig were held at the Lincoln church Monday afternoon and were in charge of Rev. E. R. Rorem of Slater.

Special music was furnished by Miss Stella Chelesvig and Walter Christopher. The remains were interred in the Lincoln cemetery north of Huxley.*

Mr. Chelesvig was 71 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. A. C Anderson, and one brother, Ole Chelsvig.

Relatives from out of town present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chelesvig, Ole, Martin and Severt Nervig of Eagle Grove; Anfin Apland of Des Mones; Mr. and Mrs. Amos Nervig and James Nervig of Polk City, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dobbe of Ames.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Tom's headstone bears the name "TOM KJELLESVIG" next to his parents in the Lincoln Cemetery at Cambridge, Story County, Iowa. His parents' stones, Peder Kjellesvig and Olena (Apland) Kjellesvig also bear the surname Kjellesvig.
