Sarah E. Campbell, 92, of Heather Manor died of a heart ailment there Wednesday [January 31, 2001]. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.

Mrs. Campbell was born in Des Moines and had lived in Collins before returning here, where she had lived most of her life. She was a retired clerk with Meredith Publishing and also had worked in accounting for the Internal Revenue Service. She was a member of Union Park Baptist Church and Business Women's Bible Study. She was a children's Sunday school teacher and enjoyed quilting and gardening.

She is survived by a son, Michael of Boone; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
