IRA L. CAMPBELL

COLLINS -- Funeral services were held at the Christian church Thursday afternoon for Ira L. Campbell who died Monday, Dec. 9 1957. The Rev. Clayton Bolinder of Des Moines was the officiating clergyman, assisted by the Rev. Ellis Martin.

Mrs. K. W. Tomlinson was the soloist and sang "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Fred Mead accompanied on the piano and furnished instrumental music.

Casket bearers were Erville, Bowers, Earl Dodd, Henry Dodd, Forrest Long, James Mullihan and Ray Mullihan.

Mrs. Earl Dodd and Mrs. Ray Mullihan were in charge of the flowers.

Burial was in the Collins Evergreen cemetery. Ryan's Funeral Service was in charge.

Life Sketch

Ira L. Campbell was born on Jan. 27, 1905 at Collins, Iowa, and died on Dec. 9, 1957. He lived his entire life in the Collins community.

On April 29, 1944 he was married to Sarah Sorrick at Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Celia Tipton Campbell, and two sisters. Ira is survived by his wife, Sarah, a son Michael, two brothers Lloyd of Collins and Ralph of Sioux City, a nephew Richard Campbell of Sioux City and two nieces Catherine and Sharon Campbell of Collins.

Mr. Campbell was a member of the Union Park Methodist church in Des Moines.

Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were from Sioux City, Des Moines, Redfield, Nevada and Omaha, Neb.
