CLARENCE G. WAX

MAXWELL--Clarence G. Wax, eldest son of Sam and Sarah A. Wax, was born in Mason county, Ill. Oct. 22, 1869 and died Sept. 16, 1957 at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 25 days.

He was united in marriage to Olive E. Hughes June 20, 1898 at Emmetburg, Iowa. To this union five children were born: Mrs. Emma Bloomberg of Ames, Mrs. Ella Halsted, Hubbard, Henry and Rease Wax of Maxwell. One child died in infancy. The Wax family resided in the Dalton neighborhood for over 30 years. His wife preceded him in death on May 16, 1939.

He is survived by four children, thirteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. Also a half brother and two half sisters, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
