Obituary

Miss Elizabeth Highland died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Highland east of town last Monday morning at 1 o'clock at the age of 21 years.

She came to this country at the age of 18 years, and has been at the Highland home at intervals since that time, while she has gone from the scenes, the conflicts, the sorry and worry of life she will still live in the hearts of those who had the privilege of talking to her while she was laying on her death bed. All the care and love and skill could do, and the anxious Highland household could devise and apply for her comfort was done, but the fiat of Him who rules every thing had been issued and after a brief struggle she was called away from this life.

The funeral occurred from the house Tuesday forenoon, Rev. Lerud officiating. He spoke very touchingly of the last meeting he had with her on this earth and paid a fitting tribute to his memory of the meeting. He very forcibly impressed upon those present to live so that when the final summons came, to be amoung those who shall take his chamber in the silent halls of death and dwell in everlasting Glory. The Reverend also very earnestly pointed out the awful danger of leaving that all-important question to the eleventh hour as the Son of men commeth at an hour when ye think not. Interment took place in the Roland Cemetery.
