PEARL JONES

COLLINS: Funeral services were held in the Congregational Christian church in Baxter Monday afternoon for Mrs. Pearl Jones who died Friday at the Mercy Hospital in Marshalltown. Rev. Harry E. Baughey officiated.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Donnell Duetsch, organist and Mrs. Max Butler and Mrs. Douglass Deutsch singing duets.

Casket bearers were Francis Southern, Donald Weston, Barron Jones, Dale Signs, Donald Weston, Eugene Jones and Keith Nicodemus. Flowers were arranged by Mrs. Reuben Baureamper, Mrs. Charles Butler and Mrs. Hale Nickell.

Interment was at Restland cemetery at Baxter with the Boyd-Nickell funeral directors in charge.

Life Sketch

Pearl Jones, widow of the late Frank Jones, was born Nov. 14, 1887 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emory Signs, and died May 24, 1957, at the age of 69 years, six months and ten days old.

She attended Jasper county southeast of Collins and went the Baxter high school, living in the Ira neighborhood during her married life and was a member of the Ira Christian church.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones were the parents of twin daughters who survive. They are Nadine, Mrs. Marion Mullihan, and Maxine, Mrs. Orrie Altes, both of Mingo. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Ivan Nicodemus of Colfax, Mrs. Jessie Shuey and Mrs. Ora Hanson of Collins, and one brothers, Edd Signs of Newton and seven grandchildren.
